Biden’s Cabinet is out now!

I’ve written a really fun rhyming poetry book that is now available for purchase.

Over the course of 17 poems—one for each head of the 15 executive departments, one for President Biden and one for Vice President Kamala Harris—readers will dive into the lives of the the most diverse set of Senate-confirmed appointees in American history including many firsts of their position: first woman, Native American, Black, Asian, Latino, LGBTQIA, and immigrant among others.

Summer Break

I’m taking a little break from teaching virtual yoga and breathwork to spend some time with family and friends in Washington State and Vancouver, BC. I’ll also be taking an Alaskan cruise. I haven’t been to Alaska since I was 18 and did an Outward Bound kayaking trip in the Kenai Fjords. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been and I’m absolutely delighted to get to go back. This will be my first flight with my (new to me) mobility scooter, which I’m hoping will make travel that much easier and more enjoyable. If you have any top tips for the area, or if you’ve been on an Alaskan cruise, I’d love to hear from you!

I’ll be resuming 30 minute sessions live on YouTube for everyone (and on Zoom for those living with MS or a similar chronic condition - link below) on September 9. These sessions run 12:30-1pm UK (7:30-8am ET). They’re gentle, relaxing and great way to build some me-time into your day. Playbacks are always available on YouTube as well. Oil-Free Plant-Based Cooking

Beetroot Ravioli

Pasta Ingredients (or buy premade fresh lasagne sheets) 

200g semolina 

100ml warm water

Pinch of salt 

Filling Ingredients 

1 large or 3 small beetroots peeled and baked until tender then chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced 

1/2 c walnuts (or another nut or seed of your choice)

2 tsp balsamic vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste
